A few weeks ago, we conducted a "test drive" from Heerenveen to the German city of Münster and back to test the technology, settings, and the European SIM card of our system.
At the border crossing in Emmen, the live tracking was briefly interrupted, but after a few minutes, the connection was properly resumed on the German network. During the interruption, the route is still saved offline on the memory card in the GPS unit and added to the route map in PaceX when an online connection is established.
The car was parked in Münster for five hours on three underground levels. Then, the route was continued to Heerenveen without any issues. Each test drive starts and ends at the same location, which is always visually clear on the route map, including the top speed 🫢 and the distance traveled.
Car companies near the German border can easily make use of the Gold package from PaceX. For companies in the middle of the country, it applies that when a car is heading towards Germany, Poland, or other countries, an alarm can be raised immediately.
